Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Three weeks into my research and I am still asking questions.

“Should we buy this type of car?”, “Do we need that type of van?”, “Do we need an off-road van, or will an on-road van be ‘good enough’?”, “What if this happens?”, “What if that happens?”  There are so many questions but at the end of the day, this is a huge change we are diving (or is that driving) headlong into and I am fast discovering there is an absolute wealth of information available on the net.  Let’s face it, we are not the first people to do this, and I’m not the first person to write about it either.

We have decided that a Mitsubishi Pajero is our vehicle of choice and have now looked at enough caravan designs now to know what we like and don’t like.

Therefore – “Now the shopping begins!

First stop is and the plethora of new and used vehicles advertised for sale and the wonderful task of sorting the lemons from the limes.  Hopefully we will not have to consider purchasing a new car and can find what we want second hand.  I must admit prefer to the term pre-loved because I’m not particularly interested in purchasing a vehicle that has been used and abused.  I want one that has been loved and looked after.

Second stop is the Gold Coast Midyear Caravan & Camping Expo being held from July 25 to July 27 and if it’s anything like the expo recently held in Brisbane, there could very well be an irresistible bargain to be found.  Fingers crossed we are able to find the perfect mini house on wheels at a terrific price.
