So they packed up their kit,
To the boss said, ‘I quit!’
And to everyone else said ‘So long!’
Now they laugh and pretend they’re elites.
As they travel long roads and high streets,
Past perplexing places,
With smiles on their faces,
Thinking “Our life is full of fine treats!’
Our journey around Australia commenced on Friday October 31, 2014 and saw us travel through ever state and territory over a 20 month period. We had the most amazing time and would do it all again in a heart beat.

Nice use of alliteration in a couple of spots, too — I think my favorite moment was “With a head and a heart full of song.”

It took a bit of work, but perhaps not as much as you might think. I spend 30 minutes putting down my original thoughts, then I left it for several hours. When I came back, it only took another 30 minutes to ‘polish’ it up.

We’ve been travelling for a few years, blogging as we go but unlike you aren’t able to do just pick a time and go. Our longest has been 3 months.
