Sunset at St Helens
Sunset at St Helens

Taken at 7:23 pm, this is the beautiful sunset view from the back door of the property we are minding at the moment.  Each evening, I poke my head out the door to look at the beautiful Autumn hues painted across the trees and mountains as the sun slowly sinks below the horizon, just beyond those trees.

But don’t be fooled by those warm tones, it is much colder in Tasmania than we expected.

Just as well I insisted on bringing a suitcase full of warm clothes with us.  It seemed silly when leaving Brisbane and the mercury was edging north towards 35°C (95°F), doesn’t seem so silly now when anything above 16°C (60.8°F) is considered a warm day.

And I’m sure it’s going to get a lot colder before we leave Tasmania at the end of May.

(I may have to invest in a thermal shirt or two.)
