This weeks Photo of the Week was taken Wednesday
(July 8, 2015)
It’s a little hard to compete with some of the photos taken at the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse on Saturday, but scouring through the copious images I have taken, I found this one.

There are six or so kangaroos that come out during the last light of each day. Sometimes you can see them early in the morning but you have to get up early (and be quick to photograph them).
Most afternoons you can see the family munching away on the grass and they tend to stand where I photographed them, just outside the fence, away from the overly energetic dog on the other side of the street that tends to bark at them (non stop).
On Wednesday afternoon though, the little joey popped out to see what was going on. It was so cute.
Here’s a link to Carolyn’s blog where she posted her Photo of the Week: Purple flower and a weathered bench.
Enjoy and thanx for sharing Carolyn.
Neat! My friend’s family home in the country outsude Brisbane often had roos in the early morning. It was really exciting for me to see.

Hi Hilary,
They can be majestic, and unfortunately they can also be very dangerous. I’m not prepared to get closer than the photo, but must say (again) the little joey is so cute.

I’ve heard that roos can be aggressive. Thank goodness for zoom lens!

Hi Hilary,
Yes kangaroos can be very vicious and are by no means the cute and cuddle animals our ‘tourists’ believe them to be and yes, I do have a good zoom lens.
