This weeks Photo of the Week was taken Thursday
(November 26, 2015)

When visiting Ngilgi Cave last week, our guide told us to do a rather unusual thing.
“When you get to the bottom of the first chamber, lay down on the floor (there’s soft rubber mapping), close your eyes for 20 or so seconds, then open your eyes and look at the ceiling directly above.”
The premise was that after closing your eyes and then reopening them, the lighting gives the view a 3D effect. I don’t know, maybe it did, maybe it didn’t, but the sight of looking up at the stalactites hanging down was rather impressive.
What amazing colours!!

Yes, the lighting in the cave was amazing how it highlighted the crystal formations. 🙂

I can just see you, laying on your back on the cave floor taking this picture!!!
What great lighting effects they have. Those Stalagmites and Stalactites are just fascinating. I know it would have been fabulous to take the tour. Enjoy and keep sending fabulous photos. cheers Denise.

Thanx Denise,
We felt like a pair of school kids doing it, but we were the only one’s there at the time, so (we think) no-one else saw us doing it 🙂
