Goodbye 2015

What an Amazing Year You’ve Been

It’s hard to believe another new year has arrived and Dean and I are still travelling around Australia.

The last 12 months have been incredible, we’ve been to so many wondrous places, and a lot of them were firsts for me, The Blue Mountains andย Tasmania for example, but while Dean had been there before, taking The Long Road to Uluru and spent five breathtaking days in our country’s Red Centre was a first for both of us.

Since I wrote about My Top 10 Moments back in October (when we’d been on the road for exactly one year), we’ve found ourselves in many new and exciting places, spending time along the Eyre Peninsular, Crossing the Nullarbor Plain, and finally entered Western Australia where we’ve spent the last eight weeks enjoying the southern regions of this vast, incredible state.

. . .

As this new year begins, 2016 sees Dean and I embarking on the last leg of our adventure, the final six months that will take us north into Western Australia’s Pilbara and Kimberly regions, across into the Northern Territory to visit Kakadu National Park, and finally back to Queensland where we’ll go from one adventure to another as work beacons and the prospect of buying a new home awaits.

Travelling around Australia, loving living and laughing all the way, is the most amazing adventure we’ve ever had, and for now, as it continues into new and exciting territory, I can only think:

  2. Clare, I hope you know that your words bring amazing feelings as we ‘travel’ along with you and Dean. Thank you so much for sharing your 2015 words and pictures and I’ll certainly be travelling in the back seat in 2016. Peace and blessings on your roads for 2016.

    1. Not as much as you might think ๐Ÿ™‚ – buy car, buy caravan, hit the road – done.

Ok, there was a little more to it than that, but since hitting the road, we’ve done and gone anywhere we’ve wanted to – no plan.

    1. Thank you Carol,

I’m not sure I want to finish our lap either as I’ve so enjoyed both the adventure and writing about it. Perhaps a new adventure will begin when this one finishes.

Happy New Year to you and Evie too, and bad news, but the guest from Qld has already left and is on her way back.
