This weeks Photo of the Week was taken Friday
(January 29, 2016)

This little fellow isn’t the first ‘dragon’ to make it as Photo of the Week. The Peninsular Dragon was given this honour back in late October when Dean and I were making our way up the Eyre Peninsular in South Australia. (It feels like that was half a lifetime ago now.)
This Long-Nosed Dragon was so cute, coloured appropriately considering the surroundings in Kalbarri National Park, and caught Dean’s attention as we were leaving the Z Bend car park.
That’s a new one to me, I’ve never even seen a photo of a long nosed dragon before let alone the real thing. Nice one.

Thanx Sue. I searched for his identity on Google, and was pleased it didn’t take me long to find him, but I think he’s also referred to as the Long Nosed Water Dragon and that would explain finding him close to water in the KNP.

He was, but not as little as most of the other dragons we’ve seen. As a comparison, he was rather large 🙂
