Yesterday I shared a photo of the most amazing sunrise. The night before I had said to Dean I would get out of bed early to see the sunrise, and I almost didn’t. I almost stayed in bed and thought “Oh well, there’ll be other sunrises!”
Such a terrible attitude considering the fragility of life, and I’m thrilled my determination kicked in.
With a (small) thermos of coffee in hand and my camera slung over my shoulder, I set out for the beach at Alexandra Headland. The Sun was just below the horizon where, to my dismay, a few clouds were sprinkled. I saw those clouds and my heart sank, perhaps I should have stayed in bed.

As the Sun rose a little higher to greet the new day, that cloud was the perfect prop, the perfect accompaniment to show off our nearest star in all its glory.

As the Sun crept higher still, its light then played on the water, creating liquid sunshine.
How gorgeous, and what a perfect way to start the day. I was thrilled, overjoyed actually, that I was there to witness this utterly amazing sunrise.

Best time of day! So glad it was a good one for you, and the addition of some cloud is always a bonus 🙂
