The Sounds of the Aussie Bush
I’m always sharing photos of what Dean and I see when we go out bushwalking, and we’ve seen some amazing things, but today I’m sharing what we hear.
The following track is (only) one minute long and I recorded it when we were out walking earlier this month in Kondalilla National Park. It’s such beautiful music.
Sometimes in life, you have to stop and smell the roses.
Just don’t forget to also listen to the music.
CLARE'S COSMOS 
When hiking in Scotland along one of the more hilly sections, Jane and I heard what we thought were flutes blown badly. Turns out it was a pasture gate, a stiff breeze passing over holes in the piping and producing a piping that was eerie but beautiful. I tried recording, but the wind sounds drowned out the fluting. I think I’ll remember that oddity for quite some time. Good to read your thoughts and hear a good recording!

What a lovely story and thank you for sharing it with me. I’ve recently discovered the bird that makes that tinkling bell sound is a honeyeater know as the Bell Miner or Bellbird. Now that I know what to look for, I’ll have to try to photograph one.

I have no idea what the bell tinkling sound was but I did recognize the Whip Bird call.You captured a lovely segment.
