After walking into the ultimate display home back in May, securing a block of land (that officially became ours 15 days ago), finally, we have a signed contract with our builder.
It only took a few minutes to sign the required six or so pages, but an hour to initial every page of every document that forms part of the contract, and then repeat – one copy for us, one copy for the builder. We paid our deposit and walked away grinning.
Yes, I read and reread every page of every document beforehand and feel as though I know the contract and specification upside down and inside out now.
Works should be underway in 30 days give or take a day or two, and we’re getting very excited about finally having a new place to call home.
In the meantime, we’ll enjoy this lovely gourmet hamper from Ausmar Homes.

Wait till I post photo’s of us in our ‘Home Owner’ hi-vis vests when we do our first inspection.
YAHOOO! This is what I was hoping for… I wanted to catch up and make sure that the house building had begun. Well it will now after all the paper signing! Tell that rain to go away…

Yeah! It is so exciting and (fingers crossed) the builder should ‘break ground’ in a few weeks. We just have to get the final building approvals and then start the countdown until we can move in. Happy days 🙂

Well since I can’t be there to help you enjoy the goodies, I’ll go on a bender this weekend to help you celebrate! 😀
