Colour selections made – Check!
That’s right, on Tuesday we made our colour selections and are another step closer to owning our new home.

Although my photo doesn’t do the colours justice, we are really happy with the selections we’ve made and are starting to get excited about what the end result will look like.
After our 3½ hour consultation with our colour consultant (as arranged by our builder and part of the ‘package’), we’ve no doubt everything will ‘just work’.
Mind you, we did our homework. We (ok, I) spend hours looking at tiles online in search of a floor tile that would not only give an amazing look and feel, but also come in on or under budget, I considered the available options for stone benchtops, and I perused kitchen splashbacks and bathroom ideas. I looked and looked until I simply couldn’t look any more. But it all paid off because we arrived at our appointment with clear ideas and the consultant merely guided us towards a few subtle changes.
We ended up selecting a light coloured brick with dark accents outside, and dark flooring with white and neutral colours inside, blending hues from both an earthy and a grey palette. Predominately though, the inside will be white and this will allow us to add colour depth with furniture and other decor items.
We walked away very happy and with samples of everything except the carpet and the external brick. You’ll have to wait to see which colour goes where and, just like us, you’ll have to wait to see exactly how they all fit in together.
How exciting. A new home..Can’t wait for photos 🙂 x
