This week’s Photo of the Week was taken this morning.
(Monday, September 26, 2016)

As I watered the plants this morning, I was overwhelmed by the buzzing noise coming from the Lavender. Upon closer inspection (but not too close), I discovered bees, hundreds of them, busily working away, gathering up the pollen to take back to their hive.
It took a few tries to get a good shot as the bees wouldn’t cooperate with me and stay still. Eventually, and with a little patience, I managed a couple of nice photos.
As usual, I’m sharing the one that I think is the best.
You’ve got the old rule down cold: When you think you are close enough, get closer! Great photo!

Thank you. It did test my patience though with the bees refusing to stay still.

Wow! That’s quite a shot. You’re turning into a real nature photographer. Look how many parts there are to that bee!
