This week’s Photo of the Week was not taken last week.
(It was taken the week before.)

Recently I wrote about The First Hippeastrum that bloomed early in August, today it’s another early bloomer. Called African Lily, Nile Lily or Lily of the Nile overseas, in Australia they are best known by their genus name Agapanthus, and here in Queensland, we know they normally arrive in November.
As you can see from the wilted trumpets and attached web (you can click to enlarge), this flower has been opened for awhile. Weird weather patterns caused it to bloom in September, and it’s about to be surrounded by its neighbours.
Lovely!
