This week’s Photo of the Week was taken Friday.
(December 9, 2016)

If we were merely Starting to Take Shape back on November 11, there’s a lot more than just a shape going on now.
When we stopped by on Friday, we found the house so close to ‘lock up’ stage that we were positive the workers would have locked the doors behind them when their day was done.
It was nice to see the sliding doors and glass walls in place, and yes, that is our bath tub in the middle of the living room floor. The kitchen and bathroom cupboards are in place (though not finished), the builders were working on the internal doors, and all the plastering has been done.
I know it’s all the ‘little things’ that generally take the most amount of time, but it’s hard to fathom that our (official) completion date is still 11 weeks away (including a two-week shut down over Christmas).
Does it get real cold there in your wintery months? You’ll need some good drapes to keep the cold air from rolling off those big windows.

No heavy drapes required. It doesn’t get cold here at all – cool, but not cold.
