Nearly There

With ‘Practical Completion’ only eight days away, Dean and I are starting to see the finish line.  My understanding is that practical completion is a pre-handover inspection and we will be doing just that Thursday next week, with the help of an industry professional of course.

Providing everything goes according to plan, we will then have one more week to wait before this little beauty is all ours.

Yesterday we inspected the finished tiling.  I just love our feature wall in the ensuite.  Those tiles were worth every cent we paid for them.

I laughed when I took the photos off the camera.  The following is an enlarged section of the above photo with Dean and I reflected on the surface.  Another wonderful selection.

Unfortunately, the rest of the house was rather messy and dusty, some appliances still patiently waiting for their installation, and the ‘cleaning’ yet to be accomplished.  (Though I must admit, the cleaners were scheduled to commence their work yesterday.)

No more photos for now, but I do intend on taking a few next week when everything is finished, cleaned, and ready to become ours.

    1. The wait has been agonising at times, but (as my Mother would say) good things come to those who wait.

  1. Looks wobderful! A little jealous. My master bath re-do has been placed on the backburner (we’ve opted for that 3 week cruise instead) but the kitchen re-do is nearly done. Congratulations!

  2. Woo hoo!!! It looks gorgeous. I’d give my eye teeth for that shower. Can’t wait to see how you pull it altogether into YOU guys when you get moved in. 😀

  3. That’s so exciting Mum! So close!! Can’t wait to see more photos! xx

I'd love to hear your thoughts ...
