A Splash of Colour

I feel as though I’ve been MIA, but to be perfectly honest, I’ve just been busy working my way to lunchtime on Friday’s when I catch the train home.  Sunday night then arrives all too soon and I head off to bed, far too early, to get a good nights sleep before this working madness starts all over again at first bird call on Monday morning.

Some days there doesn’t seem time for must else, and I do miss writing on my blog.

To get back into the swing of things, I’ve decided to take up the 7 Day Black and White Photo Challenge – thanx Nancy for implanting the idea in my mind.  Starting tomorrow, I’ll be posting one black and white photo each day to show what my world currently looks like.

Before all the colour leaches out though, here’s a splash to brighten your day.

My Frangipani
I love this colour – so summery

The rules for the photo challenge are simple:

  • No explanation
  • No people
  • Just everyday life.

With city life mid-week (thanx for the generosity of a bed, my dear friend Yvette), and home life on weekends, there could be a stark contrast between the beginning and end of my week.  And for the purpose of this activity, I’ve decided the first day of the week can be Monday, though I must admit this is hard for someone who has always lived by the rule that each week begins on Sunday.

I hope you enjoy looking at my world in black and white for a week.

  1. I am thrilled you are taking on the challenge! Looking forward to seeing them all. Thanks so much for the shout-out!
These colorful pictures today are quite beautiful!!I enjoyed them as they are a flower I have never seen.
PS How far do you have to travel for your job?

    1. Thank you Nancy, I do love frangipanis. Check this out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plumeria (better still, do a Google image search 🙂 )

I’m travelling to Brisbane for work and, door to door, Monday morning takes me a little over two hours. There is no way I could travel two hours there, be in the office all day, then travel two hours to get home. I stayed with my friend Denise for six weeks, now I’m with Yvette and both of them have been angels.

I'd love to hear your thoughts . . .
