Q: What do you do when the office doesn’t allow you to plug Christmas lights into a power outlet?
A: You purchase a string of Christmas lights that plug into your computers USB port.
We use USB ports for all sorts of things – charging phones, charging batteries for other devices, connecting peripherals to our computers (printers, scanners) – the list goes on, but, when I was still working in an office, at this time of year the USB granted me the ability to surround myself with a little festive spirit.

So in honour of all the years I plugged in my USB Christmas Lights in the office, I’ve plugged them in at home and decorated my study desk with them.

These USB powered lights add a sparkle to my desk as I sit writing my next Christmas Time Square post. (I just have to remember to unplug them when I leave the room.)
And those little stars change colour.
I hope you’re reading this Kim because I’m thinking of you and all the fun we had sprinkling some Christmas cheer – even if it was only a little.
