Just Opening

This is the latest bloom on my Black Bat Flower.

This is the fifth bloom so far this season with the first one emerging in January, and there are another three spikes making an appearance as well.  I think my Black Bat Flower has appreciated the fertiliser I gave it a few months ago.

It won’t be long before this bloom has fully opened and developed its rich velvety black/purple colour.

As for the white variety I acquired some eight months ago, it is still showing no signs of blooming, but I remain hopeful with my camera at the ready.
