Do you ever say ‘Goodnight’ to the Moon?
I do, quite often.
And although this might be a side effect of being a lunatic, for all you know, it might just be classic (Moon) literature suck in my head.
Written by American children’s author, Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Hurd, it was originally published in 1947 and continues to stand the test of time. It has been translated into (at least) a dozen different languages and I found one statistic from 2017 that indicated 48 million copies have been sold since it was first published.
Imagine all those parents, all over the world, reading this little 32-page book about a young bunny saying goodnight to all the creatures and objects in a green-walled bedroom, gradually drifting off to sleep while the lights dim and the Moon glows in a big picture window.
I believe you are never too old to enjoy Goodnight Moon.
