October Squares – Day 1

Having told Becky (just yesterday) that I was too busy to participate in her Square Challenge this month, the first photo I see this morning meets my interpretation of her criteria.

Here’s what Becky had to say about Lines & Squares – the theme of her Square in October photo challenge.

They can be long, short, straight or narrow. Natural, wavy, singular or in stripes. Contoured, grooved, curved or divided. Or maybe you’ll be inspired by a line of poetry, a sequence of events or a course of action.

Now perhaps these stamen on my Shabby Chic Hibiscus aren’t exactly the types of lines Becky is talking about, though they are ‘Natural’, and they are the types of lines my eye, or I should say my camera, focused in on yesterday afternoon.

And so, here I am, posting on day one of Becky’s challenge.

I still maintain I’ll be too busy this month to post something daily as I have done previously, but I will try to join in whenever I can.
