Becky’s Square Photo Challenge for January is _____ Light, with ‘_____’ representing a variable entity.
Becky encourages us to:
. . . find your own _____light.
Because . . .
there are more than 50 words which end in light!
I’ve been giving my ‘_____’ a lot of thought (as I usually do) and although I’ve not quite made up my mind, I do keep coming back to, and leaning towards . . .
Sunlight
Sun + light also invokes a few other _____light interpretations – daylight, twilight and starlight – just to mention the few I can think of straight off the top of my head.
And why would I choose Sunlight? That’s easy. I have so many photos of sunrises and sunsets to share, plus (and here’s the kicker) almost every day there are more opportunities to photograph our nearest star.
This is how it looked on Wednesday morning.

With our atmosphere filed with haze due to bushfires wreaking havoc (elsewhere), the orange glow at sunrise was almost blood red, however, the colour had drained somewhat by the time I got my camera and walked outside. Even so, it still had an eerie glow making me feel sad for those affected by the devastation at the moment.

So, yes. Although this is not my definitive decision, for the moment it’s gearing up to be the most likely choice and my theme for daily square photos during the entire month of January.

awww what a lovely lovely intro, thank you so much. And I am loving the thought of sunlight – think we are all going to need as much light as we can get in the weeks and months ahead

But at the moment, over here, we could do with a little less 🙂 (And I love your double entendre.)

I think you have made a great choice. It should be quite fun for you.
So sorry to hear about the devastation in your country. Prayers for all.
