Sandstone and Starlight
This is how we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary in October 2015. We jumped out of bed at some ungodly hour – it was pitch black – dressed and drove to and through the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to arrive at the sunrise viewing platform. Once there, we then patiently waited to watch the Sun rising in the heart of the Australian outback and (perhaps) over Uluru.

We weren’t there at the right time of year to see the Sun rising behind Uluru from that particular location, however, this was the stunning view 27 minutes later.

Here’s the entire photo.
October this year will mark 34 years together.
I wonder what we’ll do to celebrate this milestone.

wow . . . not sure I’d ever get MrB up to do this even on our anniversary. Really doesn’t do mornings! This is glorious 🙂

Watching the Sun creep over the horizon so close to Uluru was incredible and I’m sure if you found yourself lost in the heart of our county, Mr B would do whatever it takes to enjoy as much of the surroundings as possible. I admit though, I am a morning person and find getting up early an easy task – even when it’s still pitch black (like it is right now) 🙂
