This is the next post in this series for my Toastmasters assignment – Write a Compelling Blog. (You can read the other posts here.)
Lesson No 4
You’ve Got a Friend
In today’s post, I’m not going to talk about a lesson Toastmasters taught me about friendship because no matter what I say, I could never put it better than Carol King did and, although I’ve heard Carol sing her wonderful song so many times, I don’t think I’ve ever really listened to James Taylor’s version.
This is so lovely and after a weekend of Toastmasters, it sums up how I’m feeling today.
I do have more to say about the friendships I’ve fostered while I’ve been a member of Toastmasters International, but I’ll talk about that another day.
You may not remember me, but I most certainly do remember you. I was there at Ipswich when you won your humourous…
I am from Moreton division… very impressed with your blog indeed…

I must admit, I do too. And now it’s on repeat in my head.

Doesn’t music so often say exactly what’s in our mind and thoughts but what we can’t necessarily express! Great message.

Thank you, Lesley, and I agree. So many times a song just resonates.

That it does, Maria, and when it plays around and around in your head, that power (an beauty) is magnified 10 fold at least.
