As we stood on our driveway at 5:55 am this morning, my eye was drawn to the sunlight dancing on top of the clouds.

It was a solemn occasion as we listened to the service broadcast from the RSL, joining together yet separated, with countless others to commemorate Anzac Day, 2020.
Looking around the neighbourhood, not one driveway was vacant and I found that very moving indeed.
This is my next entry in Becky’s Square in April photo challenge Tops.
A beautiful moment to reflect, thank you Clare xx

I was surprised how much it moved me. Still tearing up now just thinking about it.

A sad day in very sad times, Clare. Will we never learn comes to mind, but it’s good that this brings people together. 🙂

It was sad, Jo, but I think we may have started a new tradition – The Driveway Rememberance Ceremony.

A reflective moment for us also and a few in neighbourhood – mostly young people. I loved the words from the AWM – a day to unify !
Thanks Clare

We too stood out the front and as I looked to the west at the clear sky and the open spaces across the valleys and hills, I listened to the sounds of the birds as we listened to a very moving service from the Canberra War Museum .
