This is a Blue-faced Honeyeater.
We had six in our back garden late yesterday afternoon.

They looked rather striking against the palms fronds.

But mainly they were in our Spirit of Anzac grevillea.
I thought that was fitting considering it was Anzac Day.
So many birds love this plant.

They were having a wonderful time.
But I wasn’t the only one bird-watching 🙂

This is my next entry in Becky’s Square in April photo challenge Tops.
You can click here to read more about the Blue-faced Honeyeater and I have to say, by comparison, these birds are almost three times the size of the Brown Honeyeater featured in this post three days ago.
What a beautiful bird! That blue mask is incredible against that black. Wow!

what fabulous shots, the header/first square in particular. Stunning Clare, and as you say the blue eye is striking

🙂 Thanx Becky. I too thought the green background added to the contrast, making it ‘pop’.
