A Little Blue On Top

This is a Blue-faced Honeyeater.

We had six in our back garden late yesterday afternoon.

That blue eye is rather striking.

They looked rather striking against the palms fronds.

How cute?

But mainly they were in our Spirit of Anzac grevillea.

I thought that was fitting considering it was Anzac Day.

So many birds love this plant.

This one was trying to hide 🙂
Sometimes they hang upside down to get at the nectar.
I think this one ate too much.
These two almost come to blows.
More upside-down antics.

They were having a wonderful time.

But I wasn’t the only one bird-watching 🙂

Someone was also watching me.

This is my next entry in Becky’s Square in April photo challenge Tops.

You can click here to read more about the Blue-faced Honeyeater and I have to say, by comparison, these birds are almost three times the size of the Brown Honeyeater featured in this post three days ago.
