July Squares – Day 27

Because . . .

. . . Perspective is all about how you look at things.

I said recently that my Shabby Chic Hibiscus would soon be full of flowers, but I never imagined how many would open all at once.

Whether viewed in full colour or simple black and white, these (bread and butter plate-sized) flowers are stunning and a fabulous bright addition to an otherwise green space.

It’s even quite lovely devoid of colour.

Wow!

And equally as fabulous viewed in relation to the other blooms..

But this is only half the story.
There were fifteen flowers open yesterday.
And still many more buds yet to bloom.

This small shrub has been an amazing addition to my front garden.

I think I will source another equally as impressive variety to plant nearby.

  1. WOW! I haven’t seen Hibiscus in so long! So many buds!
But guess what? I found a bulb under my kitchen sink in my apartment. It had what I thought looked like some life in it.
I planted it and YEAH!!! It’s growing green leaves after only 2 days. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

      1. I haven’t got a camera. But I have one on my laptop. I took one holding it in front of the screen yesterday. It’s growing like a weed!!
I’ll take one everyday to watch its progress! 😊
I’m so pleased!!! It’s coming back to life!

    1. That’s what caught my eye when I bought it. It was such a tiny little thing with this huge striking flower that I couldn’t walk past without picking it up and bringing it home. 🌸

    1. Thanx Becky, I adore this Hibiscus and I’m so pleased it is flourishing. It’s near our driveway and such a fabulous sight to come home to. And yes, I do enjoy playing with the new ‘toys’ (for want of a better word) available in the block editor 🙂
