I think there’s a variety called Black Magic that doesn’t have that velvety, purple sheen.

Any color can be bright IMO
Black usually suggests formality and solemnity.
But when I put on my sleek shiny silk black cocktail dress and enter room, I brighten up what had been a rather dull get together. 🙂
