Dean and I had the day off today (always nice when it’s a public holiday anyway) and I was able to do some gardening.
There were so many things in the garden that brightened my day, I can’t choose just one photo, so here’s five.
Clockwise from top left:
- My happy little flowering Hoya
- Speckles on my Night Sky Petunia
- A flower appearing on one of my Happy Plants
- A pink Anthurium that has flowered for the first time
- Hermit the happy little frog on another Happy Plant
(Yes, this gardener gets her hands dirty.)

What is that white one? It’s fabulous, Clare 🙂 🙂

Hi Jo. It’s a Hoya – also know as waxplant, waxvine or waxflower. It’s the first time this one has flowered for me.

I have three other varieties, but no flowers yet. Hope to see them blooming soon.

I must agree. I love spending time in my garden. I even pushed the lawn mower today 😱

ooh I love mowing the law, find it strangely therapeutic despite the noise.

I once had a circular lawn, and that one was the best to mow 😀
