Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind. Bruce LeeAn Aussie Eucalypt doing a fabulous job of bending with the wind. (In fact, the wind was howling and sounded like a freight train.)

The wind must have been blowing hard… scary if it sounded like a train. Neat tree!
That wind was deafening and I was glad I had rocks in my pockets 😂. In the right environment, some varieties of Eucalyptus can grow to beyond 60 metres (200 feet). You must tune in for tomorrows photo – I think it will provide some perspective.

It was difficult to walk against it, and almost picked you up when walking with it.

And I have never seen a eucalyptus so tall like that – great tree
