This flower was my FOTD in August 2019, but that was not even the first time I shared a photo of the flowers from that fuchsia. For that, I have to look back to a post in September 2018.
Sadly, that original Schwarzpurpurfarbigen Fuchsia died, despite my best efforts to prevent that from happening. I was sad, almost heartbroken, but I knew where I could get a replacement – the Qld Garden Expo or, as it is referred to locally, the Nambour Garden Show.
This year, I went to the expo with my friends Denise and Muriel, and Muriel’s daughter Carolyn. We had a wonderful time, made lots of purchases, but most of all, I was delighted to find a replacement fuchsia – I purchased the last one available, so I feel like I was meant to have it.
Six weeks later, I have flowers (and new growth popping out everywhere).

I love these little dancing ballerinas.
I’m looking forward to a profusion of flowers over the coming months.

This is my entry for the Flower of the Day photo challenge hosted by Cee’s Photography.

Such a lovely fuchsia. I sometimes have them here in Pennsylvania during the summer if I can find them. I’m glad you found one!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

I’m so glad I found a replacement too. These are such lovely (little) flowers. Apparently there is a fuchsia tree! I might have to look into that 🥰
