Desktop Delights – October 2021

Please take a moment to take a look at the wonderful desktop delights other’s shared this month.

Firstly though, during September, Brian thought I forgot him, and although I would never do that, I didn’t see his entry due to a system hiccup failing to send through a notification of his post linking back to mine. Thank goodness Brian drew my attention to this so I could see the photo of diamonds sparkling all over an impressive web that he had assigned to his desktop.

And I also received a late entry from Cathy who shared a photo of signs of autumn in her world – a wonderful shot detailing the colours of the changing leaves on the Cottonwood in her garden.

And now, onto October’s Desktop Delights.

Brian shared an amazing image of a dragonfly – you can almost count all the cells between the membranes of its wings.

Cee’s desktop this month is a gorgeous photo of the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler that cruises out of Cascade Locks, Oregon. Both the sternwheeler and the water look so inviting.

Martin dived back into the virtual world this month with an amazing image of an International LT called Kimberly cruising the Utah borderlands on Route 89 between Page and Kanab. I swear it looks so real, even though Martin clearly states it’s from American Truck Simulator.

Aletta shared a lovely photo of a water lily at Tokara, South Africa. For me, this lovely image conjures thoughts of cool summer days which would be a welcome reprieve from the hot and sweltering spring weather in my part of the world right now.

Sharon shared an image of Pampas Grass and Blue Sky. The sky is a stunning shade of blue and I imagine her photo looks amazing splashed across her desktop.

Liz shared an incredible image of a towering sandstone rock formation at Garden of the Gods in Colorado. The colour of the sandstone is amazing and the Garden of the Gods Park is a place I would dearly love to visit.

Cathy shared an intriguing image of what appears to be a microcosm on the bark of a tree. It certainly had me wondering just how big the tree and the detail in her photo actually are.

    1. This sure is a little cutie 🥰 (as usual) thank you so much, Becky, for sharing and joining in on my SYD fun – and for also including what the Chiffchaff replaced from last month.
