It’s been a long time since WordPress issued a challenge and an even longer time since I joined in on one.

(I know I join the fun of challenges issued by other bloggers, and for each one I do, there are easily 1,000 I don’t 🥰)

But an email yesterday morning came with a special announcement – a month long blogging event throughout January 2022.

It does sound like a fun way to kick off the New Year.

According to WordPress:

Each day, you’ll receive a new writing prompt to inspire you to publish a post on your blog.

This sounds ok.

But the message goes on:

There is no right or wrong way to respond to the prompts.

Ok, sounds like something I could do.

But there was a lot more to the message:

Take this opportunity to exercise your creativity and have fun.

Woohoo – I can be creative AND have fun!

The message continues further:

Maybe you’ll choose to respond with a story, a drawing, a poem, a photo, a comic strip, a recipe, or even a playlist.

Ok, this is more than just interesting.

But, wait! There’s more!

Anything goes!

Hmmmmm! 🥳
