Bloganuary – Day 15

What is a life lesson you feel everyone can benefit from learning?

Despite believing I answered this question on Bloganuary – Day 9, I have two lessons to share.

The first is one of the many, and important, lessons my mother taught me.

“Don’t treat people the way they treat you.

Treat them the way you wish to be treated yourself.”

I guess it was her way of saying: Be kind to others even if they can’t be kind to you.

The second is, perhaps not so much a lesson from my father, but more his philosophy, especially when it comes to finding something.

Have been sent to ‘find a tool’ or any other such item from the shed and returning empty handed complaining that you couldn’t find said item, my father would say . . .

Go and look again!

Should you dare to continue complaining that you’d looked everywhere, he’d reply . . .

“No, you haven’t.

You haven’t looked where it is!”
