Desktop Delights – September 2022

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their desktop photos this month πŸ₯°

I say it every month, and it’s still true – every month.

Brian shared a gorgeous photo of an Emerald Dove. He captured its colours perfectly and it is ever so cute.

Martin’s two images this month are the view from within the cab of his DAF XF 105.460 and an excellent gardener. (You’ll have to click the link to see who that excellent gardener is.)

Aletta’s desktop is of her flowering bottlebrush. It’s delightful to see an endemic Australian species growing elsewhere.

Cathy shared a prickly rose that is the wonderful result of playing with the settings on her phone. It shows how much these ‘phone cameras’ have improved.

Cee’s three photos this month include a tiger lily, a sunflower and an unopened lily. Cee’s pictures of flowers are so gorgeous, I’ve no doubt they look incredible on her desktop.

I’ve been so busy, I’ve struggled to take those promised additional photos of my Pink Rock Orchid . . . be here’s a couple I managed when gardening the other day.

You can see all the damage the older growth sustained from the deluge back in February and March – but it’s good to see this orchid recovered from the relentless rain constantly pounding it over several weeks.

Although, ‘good’ is an understatement – I’m delighted and love, love, love seeing it on my desktop.

On October 15, I’ll share the new image on my desktop.

But you don’t have to wait until then.

You can join in anytime.
