What I’ve Been Doing

Firstly – What I Saw in My Garden

I love it when I step out into my garden . . .

. . . and a little surprise is waiting for me.

And I love how the pink colouring is bleeding into the spathe (bract) of this Anthurium.

And now, a few words on what I have been doing.

I know I’ve been quiet on my blog lately, more so than usual, but I’ve been busy.

So, what have I been doing?

I’ve been . . .

Discovering new fruit to delight in.

This is a Kiwi Berry – a bite-sized Kiwifruit that doesn’t require peeling.

Making candles, testing them and inventing unusual fragrances.

These are two masculine fragrances.

Propergating Agapanthus seeds.

These littlies are so cute.

Spring cleaning – in Autumn 😱

And finding hidden treasures from the local newspaper.

(There’s more to come regarding this photo.)

Changing my eating habits.

And cooking sumptuous food.

Finding unusual little creatures while gardening.

Isn’t this little guy cute?

And, as always, delighting in the glory of the flowers that bloom in my garden.

The first sprig of blooms on a Hoya I’ve been nursing for several years.

With all of that behind me, I’m hoping I’ll have more time for blogging. I do not like to not blog, and therefore, I’ll be back (soon) to provide more information regarding that hidden treasure from the local newspaper.

Should you choose to celebrate it, I hope you’ve had a Happy Easter.

  1. Oh it was so good to hear from you! I bet your candles are amazing. I always enjoy seeing your beautiful flowers. And the stick bug was cool.
Looking forward to hearing about that newspaper clipping.
    Happy Easter sweet friend!

    1. Thank you, Miss Nancy. My venture into making candles is still in its infancy, but I’ve found a little niche market for them and the sales are starting to drip through 🕯️which I’m thrilled about. (
